In a thrilling transfer announcement, the top scorer of Greece’s A1 Women’s League 2022-23 season, SHARON CHEPCHUMBA, commonly known as CHUMBA, has inked a deal with Thessaloniki’s prominent club, PAOK. The move comes after her phenomenal stint with another Thessaloniki team, ARIS, where she showcased stellar performances not only in the league but also during the play-offs and the CEV Challenge Cup.
The Kenyan sensation is set for an action-packed season as she will be teaming up with the Kenyan National Team for the FIVB’s Challenger Cup 2023 in France. The team is scheduled to face fierce competition against the host nation, France, followed by matches against Colombia and Mexico. A victory here could pave the way for them to qualify for the VNL. Later in the year, she will be participating in the African Nations Cup 2023, set to take place in Yaounde, Cameroon from 09-18 August 2023.
